Stratford has its new fire chief.
His name is John Paradis.
The city made the announcement at Monday night’s council meeting.
He’s coming from Vancouver Island where he’s the fire chief at Canadian Forces Base Comox.
Paradis is replacing Richard Young, who retired as chief this past September.
His first day here is March 9th.
Deputy Chief Michael Gornyiczki has been acting chief since Young’s retirement.
