Green Arc Tire gets draft permit from Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change

Green Arc Tire is moving forward.

The company says it’s received a draft Environmental Compliance Approval permit from the Ontario government.  The St. Marys-based tire manufacturer made that announcement today.

Danna O’Brien, Green Arc’s spokesperson, says this is a big development:

The last step in the environmental approvals process is to get a finalized ECA permit.  That’ll outline the conditions under which Green Arc has agreed to operate.

They’re planning on hiring 340 people at the eco-tire plant.
