peopleCare Stratford may not reopen

Stratford’s flood ravaged peopleCare home on Mornington Street could stay closed forever.  That’s the word after a meeting for staff last night in Stratford.

peopleCare’s CEO Brent Gingerich says they’re looking instead at building a new home in the city:

Gingerich says they’re working with the government to make something happen:

He added they’re looking at a couple years to get anything up and running.

Last February a pipe burst at the long-term care home.  That led to its 55 residents having to be evacuated. They’ve been living at other facilities since then.
