City council presented with a different vision for Market Square

Stratford city council has been given a different view for the future of Market Square.  It’s a view from the front.

Stratford architect Robert Ritz pitched the idea of a revitalized Market Square in front of city hall at Monday’s meeting rather than behind it.

His idea leaves the area behind city hall still available for the city buses and parking.  Ritz’s vision would see part of the area closed to traffic making it a pedestrian-only zone.

Later on in Monday’s meeting council adopted a vision and list of guiding principles to steer the Market Square rehabilitation.  You can see the idea for yourself at this website.
