Author and human rights activist Marina Nemat speaking in Stratford

A woman who spent more than two years as a political prisoner in Iran will be in Stratford Tuesday.

Event organizer Anna Carbert says Nemat will be sharing her story:

Nemat has since written two memoirs and has won the Human Dignity Award from the European Parliament in 2007 and the 2014 Morris Abram Human Rights Award from UN Watch.

Nemat will be speaking at St. James Anglican Church at 7:00 p.m. tonight.  Admission is free but donations are welcome.
