Randy Pettapiece opposes the expansion of the Municipal Land Transfer Tax.
The Huron Perth Association of Realtors says if passed the tax may raise the cost of a home in Stratford by about $5,700.
The Perth-Wellington MPP says that could put a damper on sales:

Pettapiece says Liberal cuts have caused shortfalls in municipal budgets and that’s why they’re trying to pass this tax:

The issue goes to a vote at Queen’s Park on December 3rd.
Pettapiece says that day he’ll be supporting fellow PC MPP Steve Clark’s motion against what he calls this “massive tax grab.”
