The Perth County OPP’s Festive R.I.D.E program is getting some results.
Officers set up 18 checkpoints over the course of this past weekend. A large number of vehicles were checked.
Five people were charged with a variety of offenses including possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended licence, and impaired driving.
On top of that officers also stopped a pickup truck on Highway 23 north of Listowel Thursday afternoon. The driver was charged with “Over 80mgs of alcohol in blood”.
The OPP’s Festive R.I.D.E. program runs until January 2nd.
