Police find loaded gun during traffic stop

A Perth South man is facing weapons charges after a traffic stop. The OPP says he was pulled over early Monday morning near St. Marys.

The officer was suspicious because the pickup truck was going much slower than the posted limit. The driver was arrested after the officer smelled alcohol on his breath.

A search of his truck turned up a loaded gun.

The 31-year-old was charged with “Over 80mgs”, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and careless transportation.
