Randy Pettapiece says it’s essential that small-town hospitals have the support they need.
That’s the gist of a letter the Perth-Wellington MPP has written to Health Minister Eric Hoskins. The letter comes as the Ontario government is working on its 2016 budget.
In it Pettapiece says there are many well-managed hospitals in the riding that deliver excellent care despite not having their funding increased for several years.
He also encourages the government to talk directly with hospitals as the Liberals restructure healthcare to ensure that the unique needs of rural healthcare delivery are met.
