Extreme cold warning in effect, sudden snow bursts reducing visibility

An extreme cold warning is in effect for Perth and Huron Counties.

Environment Canada says a cold front will pass through the region tonight. It’ll bring bone-chilling temperatures along with gusty winds.

The wind chill is going to make it feel like it’s somewhere between minus 30 and minus 35 degrees tonight and into Saturday night.

Things should start to warm up on Sunday.

On top of that Environment Canada says we’re getting sudden bursts of snowfall in the area. That’s making for occasionally poor visibility out on the roads.

Take it easy on your commute home this evening.
