Perth County Council is making some changes to its surplus farmhouse severance policy.
They’ve agreed to lighten the restrictions a bit. A report in the Beacon Herald says council decided to do away with requiring that both properties have the same owner for at least five years.
They also no longer have to be in the same ownership. The decision came after a public meeting in April in which those two parts of the policy were the most panned.
