Joyce Winnifred Petrie, age 85, of Stratford, passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Lloyd and Winnifred (Harris) Murch. Predeceased by her husband Robert Henry Petrie September 12, 2002. Beloved mother of Rick and wife Cindy Petrie, Bradley Petrie, Diane and Husband John Molnar, Kim Petrie and Trevor McCann and daughter-in-law Susan Mawhiney. Proud grandmother of Jenny Petrie, Jodi-Lynn McNaughton, Brittany Petrie and Raven Petrie. Great Grandmother of Kelsey, Jesseca, Matthew, Jordan, Cash, Josh, Jake, Ben and Great Great Grandmother of James. Joyce is survived by her siblings Bruce Murch and Ross Murch along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Joyce was predeceased by two sons Terrance Robert Petrie and David Lloyd Petrie, sisters Hellen Mulligan, Arlene Price, Irene Calvert, Lois Trotter and a brother Howard Murch. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
