Randy Pettapiece wants to know what the Liberal government is planning to do with natural gas.
The Perth-Wellington MPP has penned an open letter to Premier Kathleen Wynne. In it he says a number of people in the riding have gotten in touch with him over the leaked “Climate Change Plan” draft.
That draft included things like banning natural gas heating in homes and small buildings built in 2030 or later and a complete ban of natural gas by 2050.
Pettapiece says the bottom line is the plan, if implemented, would cause even higher energy costs for everyone in Ontario, which are already among the highest in North America.
