Passed away on Thursday May 26, 2016 at Trinity Village Care Centre, Kitchener. Mary was formerly of Milverton and Grand Bend. She was born 99 years ago in Orangeville and was the daughter of William & Gertrude (Knight) Barber.
Beloved wife of the late William Coxon who predeceased her in 1983. Dear mother of Bob (Jane) Coxon of Stayner, Joan Coxon of Kitchener and Judy (Jan) Christensen of Kitchener. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Monika, Paul (Mary), Dania (Anesti), Stacey, great-grandchildren Melissa (Matt), Andrew, Katie, Cole, Mia and great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte and William. Remembered by her sister-in-law Gladys Barber of Newmarket and a number of nieces and nephews . Mary was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy (Maurice) Davidson, Jean (Norm) Wheeler, brothers Rolfe (Gerladine) Barber, Les Barber, Jack (Bonnie) Barber, Don (Rita) Barber and Bert Barber.
Mary was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, Milverton. She retired from the former Milverton Sun and was very active in the Milverton Community.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will take place on Friday June 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church, Milverton with Pastor Krista Elizabeth Winn officiating. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or St. Mary’s Hospital Cardiac Care Unit, Kitchener.
