Hog Jog brings in $45,000

It was a record breaking year for the Hog Jog.

Organizers say 23 teams took part in last Wednesday’s fundraiser, more than ever before. They raised a total of $45,000 for Stratford/Perth Shelterlink.

The Hog Jog is a part of the annual Ontario Pork Congress in Stratford and each year they choose a different cause to support. Shelterlink works with people between the ages of 16 and 24 who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless.

Organizers say next year’s Hog Jog will support Optimism Place.
