A man and a woman from Stratford have been charged after they ran from police.
The OPP says it happened in Monkton around 2:00am Thursday at a R.I.D.E. check. The 26-year-old man was asked to pull his car over to the shoulder and instead sped off.
Officers lost track of him and his passenger after finding the car abandoned. A tip came in about five hours later that led them to the pair who were near Brunner.
The man and the 20-year-old woman have both been charged with possession of property obtained by crime. On top of that the man is also facing eight other charges.
