Randy Pettapiece is sounding off on how much money the Liberals sunk into the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan.
On Thursday the government announced that $70 million was spent on the now scrapped program.
The Perth-Wellington MPP says that’s a surprisingly high cost:

The $70 million includes $2 million in severance pay given out to six employees. Pettapiece says that amount of severance doesn’t seem appropriate:

The ORPP was started in 2013 and scrapped this year when the federal government announced an expansion of the Canada Pension Plan.
