The Director of Education at the Avon Maitland District School Board is calling it a career.
Ted Doherty will be retiring effective December 31st. His career started as a math teacher in 1986 at F.E. Madill in Wingham.
He became Director in 2010. Doherty says it’s been an honour.
Board Chair Colleen Schenk says Doherty’s time as Director helped them grow as a leader in the province and that he’s leaving behind a legacy of success.
