Optimism Place is taking nominations for the 18th annual Women of the Year Awards.
The annual event recognizes Perth County women who have improved the lives of other women and girls in eight different categories.
It’s happening on October 14th in Stratford with special guest speaker Kate Lines, a former OPP officer. Fern Sharp with Optimism Place says Lines had quite a career:

On top of recognizing the contributions of local women the event serves as a fundraiser for the shelter. Sharp says the money goes to support their programs:
