Efforts to put out the fire at Ellice Swamp continue today.
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority says crews worked until dark last night. Despite the wind they were able to contain the fire to a total size of less than one acre.
Today they’re working with the Perth East Fire Department to get water to the site. People are still being asked to stay away from the area until the fire is out.
