City council wants to know more about the Stratford Festival’s plans for Tom Patterson Theatre.
The Festival’s desire to replace it came up at Monday night’s meeting according to a report in the Beacon Herald. City staff was instructed to meet with Festival officials to get the details.
Staff was also instructed to look into possibilities involving the Kiwanis Community Centre. That’s because a new theatre may mean the centre would have to be moved.
One possible location that was brought up was the Cooper Site. Staff will be looking into potential funding options from the government and getting feedback from the public as well.
