Toronto Centre for Addiction and Mental Health tip led police to Wettlaufer

New information about what led police to Elizabeth Wettlaufer has emerged. She’s the former nurse accused of killing eight long-term care home residents in Woodstock and London.

A report by the CBC says the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto tipped police off. CAMH got in touch with police because of something Wettlaufer told them about the deaths of the residents. Toronto Police then let other police forces know.

Wettlaufer, who’s from Woodstock, has been charged with eight counts of first degree murder.
