Jack Butson, 88, of St. Marys and formerly of Mitchell and Staffa passed away peacefully at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Saturday, November 5, 2016.
Beloved husband of the late Wilma Butson. Dear father of daughter Rae Young and Bill, sons Keith Butson and Laura, Jeff Butson and Janice, Jim Butson and Kathy. Devoted grandfather of Ian Young and Elisabeth, Robyn McClinchey and Josh, Lucas Fazakas and Christi, Stacey Batten and Jason, Bevan Butson and Becca, Brent Butson, Sarah Butson and Wade, Jennifer Butson and Taylor, David Butson and Kayla. Loving great-grandfather of Avalon and Finlay Batten, Isla Young and Josie McClinchey. Dear brother-in-law of Margaret Miller, Betty Dow and Mary F Dow.
Predeceased by his parents Leslie and Christina Butson, grandson Devan Butson, brothers-in-law Elmer, Mervin and Roger Dow, Lorne Doupe, Eldon Allen and Russell Miller and sisters-in-law Velma Doupe and Gladys Allen.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rob Congram officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre.
