Ackersviller, Marilyn

Marilyn May Elizabeth Ackersviller of Mitchell passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Stratford General Hospital after many health challenges, with her family by her side. She is now at peace in her Lord’s arms.  Born in Gadshill, daughter of the late Milton Satchell (1999) and Viola (Riehl) Satchell.  Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren and spending time with them. Dear children surviving are Brad (Brenda) Ackersviller of Gadshill, Terry Powell (Paul Cahill) of B.C., Patti Blakey (Bill Kittmer) of St. Marys and Brett (Lisa) Ackersviller of St. Marys. Cherished grandchildren are Nathan Powell, Naomi Powell of B.C. Penny Ackersviller (Greg Williams) of Toronto, Matthew (Karen) Ackersviller, B.C., Leah Blakey of Stratford, Kate Blakey (Tyler Voyce) Stratford and Morgan Maclean of Guelph. Great grandchildren are Paisley Powell-Mathers of B.C. and Mackinnon Ackersviller of B.C.  Survived by her siblings Murray (Marion) Satchell of Gadshill and Randy (Carol) Satchell of Mitchell, along with many cousins and friends. Mom was an employee of Kroehlers, enjoying once-a-month lunch with the girls; she was also a member of the Red Hat Society and having many laughs and good times with the card and coffee girls. She was a very active volunteer with the Salvation Army. Mom was an avid gardener enjoying all of God’s nature, her faith above all else and was a faithful member of Main Street United Church in Mitchell. Besides her father, Marilyn was predeceased by a sister Jean (1953).   In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes, a Private Family Service has taken place with a burial in Avondale Cemetery (Stratford).  As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Main Street United Church (Mitchell), The Salvation Army or World Vision through the W.
