Doris Lenore Waddell, 97, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.
Beloved wife of the late Leslie Waddell. Dear mother of Jim Waddell and Twyla, Allen Waddell and Rina, and Donna Waddell. Special friend of Linda Munroe. Loving grandmother of Brian Waddell and Angela, Barry Waddell and Mylene, Kevin Waddell and Lisa, Karen Siemon and Dan, Larry Waddell, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Dear sister-in-law of Joy Docking.
Predeceased by her parents Lewis and Alba Docking, brothers Darcy and Lyle Docking and sister Marie Chappel and Wilbert.
Doris was a member of Main St. United Church and a Past Worthy Matron and Charter member of the of the Eastern Star. She was an avid quilter having just finished her most recent quilt.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre.
