The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is getting some more money from the Ontario government. In total HPHA hospitals will see a bump of $1.5 million in funding for next year.
HPHA President & CEO Andrew Williams says Stratford General’s share is about $1.3 million. St. Marys Memorial gets $152,400, Seaforth Community will see $140,400 and Clinton Public is getting $187,000.
In total 20 hospitals in the southwest region are splitting about $10.7 million in additional funding this year. The cash is aimed at reducing wait times.
The province says this investment ensures that all public hospitals in Ontario have gotten at least a two per cent increase in base funding.
