Wagler, Audrey Marie

Surrounded by her family, she was received into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday January 23, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener.  Audrey resided at Nithview Community and had farmed with Daniel at R.R. # 1 Shakespeare.  She was born 80 years ago in East Zorra Township and was the daughter of the late Peter Z.  and Lavina (Erb) Bender.

Beloved wife of Daniel Wagler whom she married September 5, 1956.  Loving mother of Nancy and Ronald Jones of Kitchener, Charlene and Darwin Huber of New Hamburg, Barbara Martin (Keith 2016) of New Dundee, Margaret and Rick Roes of Shakespeare, Duane Wagler of Wellesley, Paul and Angie Wagler of Kitchener.  Sadly missed by her 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Florence Schlegel, Merlin and Erma Bender, Isabel Ruby, Loraine Bender, Emmalien Lichti, Alma (Ken) Yantzi, Lydia (Glen) Schumm, Ruby Wagler.  Audrey was predeceased by brothers Howard Bender, Don (Louisa) Bender and brothers-in-law Earl Schlegel, Vernon Ruby, Stan (Ruby) Wagler, Lloyd Wagler and Elmon Lichti.

Audrey was a member of Living Water Community Christian Fellowship, New Hamburg.  She volunteered for 33 years at 100 Huntley Street as a prayer partner and also for Nithview Home Ladies Auxiliary.  She was part of the Women’s AGLOW Ministry and helped plan and organize the Abundant Life Conferences.

Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Thursday January 26, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.  A public interment will take place prior to the funeral service on Friday January 27, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at 19th Line Mennonite Cemetery.  The funeral service will follow at East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th Line at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Jim Whitehead officiating.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Crossroads Christian Communication (100 Huntley Street).
