Robert L. Roney, 90, of RR2, Dublin passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, February 16, 2017.
Beloved husband of Ruby Roney. Dear father of Marilyn Copes and Raymond, Kenneth Roney, and Linda Rutherford. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Kevin and Colin Copes, Thomas and Heather Rutherford. Dear brother of Hazel Huras. Dear brother-in-law of Margaret Roney and Gwen Roney. Lovingly remembered by the Lealess family and his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Alex and Lettie Roney, son-in-law William Rutherford, sisters Ethel Mahaffy and Bert, Edith Bell and John, brothers Franklin and Earl Roney and brother-in-law Raymond Huras.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with David Williams officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Spring interment in Staffa Cemetery.
