Shirley Gertrude Dixon, 87, of Mitchell passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Monday, February 20, 2017.
Beloved wife of the late William McKay “Mac” Dixon. Dear mother of Nancy Hiseman and Ron, Walter Dixon and Teresa, Dianne Nieuwkuyk and Casey, Gordon Dixon and Joanne. Loving grandmother of Eric Hiseman, Sarah Hiseman, Heather Hiseman, Rosanne Nieuwkuyk Gavin, Cindy Nieuwkuyk and Nick Varey, and Shawn Gavin. Cherished great grandmother of Jacob, Tristan, Aiden, Liam and Rory and great great grandmother of Chloe. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Lena Kingston, daughter Laureen Dixon, great granddaughter Robyn, sisters Dorothy Roush and Robert, Joan MacCannell and Ken.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Adams officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre followed by the interment in Markdale Cemetery.
