The Perth District Health Unit is reminding residents to butt out this summer when visiting local parks and patios.
The health unit says no smoking is allowed within 20 metres of public parks, playgrounds and sports fields under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act.
People are also not allowed to smoke on restaurant, bar or temporary patios.
The health unit says these regulations help protect people from second-hand smoke and decrease exposure for young people.
