The Stratford Festival is teaming up with DAREarts to host some at-risk children and teens.
It’s part of celebrating Canada’s 150.
The organization helps youth at risk of not reaching their potential by empowering them through the arts.
Eight kids from Indigenous communities in Northern Ontario will visit Stratford in late August and take in a matinee performance of a new play called “The Breathing Hole” which is set in Arctic and features Inuit actors.
The province is funding about 86-thousand dollars as an Ontario 150 project.
