The second annual Vic Hayter Memorial Trot is set for this weekend at the Clinton Raceway.
Proceeds from the event will be going to the Stratford Perth Humane Society and the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society.
The Stratford hotelier and prominent business owner’s love for animals is one of the primary driving forces behind the event according to his son, Greg.
He says the event has grown already, even heading into its second year with more plans for expansion ahead.
Raffle tickets, a fifty-fifty draw, silent auction and a barbeque are all on the docket for this weekend at the live races.
It all kicks off on Sunday afternoon at the Clinton Raceway at 1:30pm.
