Passed away on Tuesday December 16, 2014 at her residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg. Ruth was a life long resident of New Hamburg. She was born 89 years ago in North Easthope Township and was the daughter of the late Archibald & Emma (Schmidt) Dorsch.
Dear sister of Lorne Dorsch & wife Grace of Lindsay, Victor Dorsch & wife Viola of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her sisters Alice Lingelbach & husband Louis, Violet Cooper & husband Walter, Esther Shantz & husband Joseph, brothers Alfred Dorsch in infancy, Reuben Dorsch & wife Ada, Emerson Dorsch & wife Ada, Carl Dorsch, Harold Dorsch & wife Helen, Nelson Dorsch & wife Betty.
Ruth was a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg where she was a former member of the UCW.
Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg today Friday December 19, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Zion United Church, New Hamburg on Saturday December 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Thaler and Pastor Murray Rounding officiating. Interment to follow in Oetzel United Cemetery, North Easthope Township. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or Zion United Church.
