The upcoming federal Perth-Wellington NDP nomination meeting is going to have a focus on veterans’ issues.
Two guests at the meeting, Bruce Moncur and Irene Mathyssen, are both active advocates for veterans.
Moncur is a former soldier who suffered a serious brain injury while serving in Afghanistan.
Mathyssen is the NDP MP for London-Fanshawe.
The nomination meeting is happening on January 4th at the Kiwanis Centre here in Stratford at 1:30 p.m.
So far local author Ethan Rabidoux, who spent three years in the Canadian Forces, is the only declared candidate.
