In over a week, you’ll get to enjoy outdoor music while supporting local projects.
The Kinsmen Outdoor Music Fest, presented by Kinsmen Club of Stratford, is returning this month, with several musicians set to perform at Stratford Perth Museum.
Along with providing entertainment, the festival also aims to support projects within the Stratford community, with all proceeds from this event to be used to support these projects.
This year marks the club’s third in a row of running this concert, with musician Steve Adair, better known as Yeager, saying this event will go on for six hours.
“This year we went with a couple of tribute bands, a local band and myself,” said Yeager.
“As everyone is coming in, I’ll be playing on stage. We’re working on the logistics of the day and making sure everything runs smoothly.”
Yeager says he helps the Kinsmen with their fundraising events when music is involved, adding “it’s a lot of fun putting a program together.”
“The Perth Museum is a wonderful place to have an outdoor festival, kids 12 and under are free, and it’s a family-friendly event,” said Yeager.
Along with Yeager, other performers include local band Mutual Mind, Blue Rodeo tribute band Diamond Mine, and Tom Petty tribute band Full Petty Fever.
Yeager says tickets are $25 to attend, adding Stratford Transit will offer on demand shuttle service for the show.
Show starts on August 23 at 1:00 p.m., running until 7:00 p.m.
