A Tavistock nurse has been charged with theft.

The Oxford County OPP has made an arrest related to an investigation involving an employee at an area nursing home.

Near the end of January, police were contacted about missing narcotics from the Maples Home for Seniors in Tavistock.

As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old female Registered Nurse is being charged with the following offences:

  • Theft Under $5000 – Criminal Code of Canada
  • Falsification of documents – Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl)  – Controlled Drug And Substances Act
