Gertrude Celina “Lucky” Saunders in her 81st year passed peacefully into the presence of her Saviour at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday February 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late A. Lorne Saunders who predeceased her in 1999. Loving Mom of Michael (Bonnie), Paul (Janet), Peter, Alan, Joe (Lynda) and Jane Greenway. Also left to mourn her loss are her 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews Survived by her brothers Joe (Jocelyn), Russell (Josephine) and Lorne and sisters Doris (Frank) Thibeau and Brenda (Wilf) Bowering. Gertrude will be missed by her dear friend Allen Weber. Besides her parents and husband Lorne, Gertrude was predeceased by her son Jeffery and brothers Peter, Ervin and Lloyd. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. David Williams and the continuing caring staff of Stratford General Hospital.
