Tickets selling fast for labour activist appreciation dinner

Labour activists will be honoured in Stratford later this month.

The Stratford and District Labour Council is hosting its first ever activist appreciation dinner to recognize those on the front line of the union movement.

CUPE President Fred Hahn will be the guest speaker on Tuesday, March 25th at the Queen’s Inn.

Labour council president Kim Kent says Hahn will focus his remarks on the upcoming provincial election.

The evening will begin at 6:00pm.

Tickets are $28 each or $200 will purchase a table of eight.

Kent says the event is open to allies and like-minded people who share their vision for a fairer society.

The deadline for purchasing tickets is March 18th.

Kent says ticket sales have been brisk.
