Spread of PED not as bad as in the United States

Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea continues to spread in Ontario, but it’s not as bad as could it be.

Amy Cronin with the Ontario Pork Producers Marketing Board tells us how we’re doing compared to the United States:

So far 38 cases of the deadly pig disease have been confirmed in the province, including five in Perth County.

The provincial government has invested $2 million in fighting the virus which has the potential to cost the pork industry tens of millions of dollars.
