With Christmas just about here the United Way Perth-Huron is calling on the spirit of giving.
The organization is asking people to donate to help make up a shortfall in this year’s campaign. The United Way says it’s about 10 per cent behind where it needs to be to hit this year’s $1.3 million goal.
Campaign Chair Andrew Williams says they’re remarkably pleased with the support they’ve already received and will be working to increase the visibility of the campaign.
Hitting the $1.3 million goal means the United Way will be able to support nearly 50 organizations in Perth and Huron counties such as the St. Marys Youth Centre and the Emily Murphy Centre.
