Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at Exeter Villa Nursing Home, on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, Catherine “Cass” Stuart (Mein) Junker, of Grand Bend, in her 100th year.  Beloved wife of the late David George Junker (1982).  Loved mother and mother-in-law of Carl and Joyce Junker of New Hamburg, Bruce and Janice Junker of Grand Bend, Janet and Don Kobe of Grand Bend, Alan and Tamara Junker of New Dundee.  Cherished grandmother of Ronald and Cathy Junker, Ann Junker, Mike Junker, Tim and Melody Junker, Trevor and Debra Kobe, Graham Kobe, Jarett and Janice Kobe, Cullen and Elizabeth Kobe.  Treasured great-grandmother of Shannon, Shelby and Alex, Marlee, Cailin, Max, Chantelle and Jimmy, Samantha, Paige, Benjamin, Jacob, Claire, Grace, Brooke, Eve, Eli.  Great-great-grandmother to Jacob and step great-grandmother to Jasmin and Liam. Remembered by her sister-in-law Margaret Zoeller, many nieces, nephews and their families.  Catherine is the last surviving member of the Mein Family.  Predeceased by her parents Donald and Jeanette (Hamilton) Mein, sisters Jeanette Junker, Jean Mein and Annabelle Mein.  Catherine was a gifted artist and a life time member of the Women’s Institute (with Hampstead, New Hamburg and Grand Bend).  For many years she ran Mac’s Milk in Grand Bend. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 1 to 2:30 p.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m.  The Rev. Dr. Kate Crawford Officiating.  Interment Grand Bend Cemetery.  We would like to extend a sincere Thank you to the Staff of the Exeter Villa Nursing Home for their exceptional care of our mom.  If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Huron Shores United Church, S.H.H.F. – Jessica’s House or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.  Condolences at www.hoffmanfuneralhome.com
