Temperatures will plunge tonight

We’re in for a roller coaster ride of weather today.

In a special weather statement Environment Canada says this is a record-breaking warm March 1st but temperatures in Perth and Huron counties will plunge to more seasonal norms tonight. A few rounds of showers and the odd thunderstorm may be expected.

Winds reaching as high as 80 km/h are possible as a cold front moves through the area this evening. Environment Canada says any left-over showers tonight will change to scattered flurries as the temperatures fall well below the freezing mark.
