Market Square Committee Gives City $25,000 for Greening Market Square

The Stratford Market Square Committee has given the city $25,000 to improve some of the greenery in Market Square.

The cheque was presented at last night’s city council meeting with the money going to trees and plantings around the square.

The committee says it’s thanks to the community that the donation could be made, as residents opened their wallets to make the investment happen.

Its Chair, Eleanor Kane thanked council, the BIA and all of the volunteers involved.
