Mynetta Stueck
Mynetta Mabel Elizabeth Stueck (nee Schmidt), age 95 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 15, 2017. Born in North Easthope Township, June 5, 1922, daughter of the late Lloyd and Melinda (Wagner) Schmidt. On June 3, 1953, Mynetta married Ivan Stueck at St. James Lutheran Church and the couple farmed in North Easthope Township until retiring and moving to Stratford in 2005. Ivan predeceased her June 14, 2015.
Mynetta was a faithful lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved her church family and enjoyed singing in the choir and participating in the E.L.W. Loving mother of James Stueck and Kathryn Sleightholm (Ross). She will be missed by her grandchildren Elizabeth and Kristina Sleightholm. Besides her parents and husband, Mynetta was predeceased by a brother Wilbert Schmidt and by a brother-in-law Glen Stueck and a sister-in-law Ruth Walsh (Robert).
Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, October 20, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastor David Hammer will officiate. Interment at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, North Easthope Township.
