Last Community Meeting Set Ahead of Wettlaufer Inquiry

Members of the commission put in charge of the Elizabeth Wettlaufer inquiry into long term care are being introduced to the public this week.

Two meetings were held yesterday in Woodstock with another set for this evening in London.

Ontario Justice Eileen Gillese will have two years to make her recommendations for the field of long-term care following the public inquiry.

Wettlaufer is currently serving a life sentence in a Kitchener prison for the murders of eight seniors who were under her care while working as a registered nurse in London and Woodstock.

Officials from the province say the community meetings give the public a chance to weigh in before the inquiry begins next year.
