Listowel Library and Steve Kerr Complex Could See $4.1 Million Additions and Renovations

The idea of making Listowel’s Steve Kerr Memorial Complex serve as a community hub has come one step closer.

North Perth’s Public Library could see a $4.1 million addition to the facilities as part of a library renovation and an addition to the complex.

The library’s Capital Projects Advisory Committee recently passed a motion to designate Listowel its main branch, as it also oversees services in Atwood and Monkton.

Council raised the concern of other infrastructure projects which that money could be channeled into, while also discussing the cost-sharing benefits of a mutual space.

The library’s sub-committee will have to figure out where the money will come from, as North Perth council questioned how much of it would be through fundraising or through applying for grants.
