Goderich Murder Trial Further Delayed

The trial of 72-year-old Boris Panovski has been delayed further.

Panovski is charged with first-degree and attempted murder in the shooting death of Don Frigo and the attempted murder of his wife Eva Willer Frigo.

The trial was initially delayed when Panovski’s lawyer was appointed to the position of judge, causing him to leave the case.

A defense lawyer out of Toronto has agreed to take over the case, but Panovski says he’s unwilling to make the commitment yet.

Justice Peter Hockin says a trial date can’t be set until Panovski makes a final call on representation, whether that’s with a new attorney or himself.
