Last Day of Hearing Being Held Ahead of Official Wettlaufer Inquiry

The family and friends of disgraced nurse Elizabeth Wettlaufer’s victims are looking to participate in the public inquiry into the killings she carried out.

In total, 47 applicants will be joining long-term care homes, private organizations and healthcare unions looking for legal standing in the inquiry.

Hearings have been set in St. Thomas at the Elgin County Courthouse in response to the requests.

If the applicants receive standing it means they will be able to name and question witnesses once the official inquiry begins.

The first hearing was yesterday with another set for today from 10:00am until 4:30pm.
