The Stratford Rotary Club is recognizing JuiceFM CJCS’s own Eddie Matthews with the Paul Harris Fellow award.
It was presented to Matthews earlier today at the Kiwanis Community Centre in downtown Stratford.
The award is the highest honour the club bestows.
Matthews says he’s humbled and was taken completely by surprise.
He says volunteers along with community groups and organizations play a huge role in Stratford.
Former Rotary President Steve Rae says Matthews has been deeply involved in the community and has helped to give many of its groups and organizations a voice within it.
Matthews has served as campaign chair for United Way, YMCA, M.S. Society, Relay for Life and the Stratford-Perth Humane Society.
