The Huron and Wellington County OPP say nine charges and eight warnings have been handed out as part of Operation Safe Trucking.
It’s part of a local effort from police to improve safety on our local road roads and nab violators.
The campaign is a partnership between the OPP and the Ministry of Transportation and Safety in an effort to curb crashes involving transport trucks.
More than 30 inspections have been completed thus far, with the campaign in its last day.
Police say the charges for drivers ranged from invalid registration to insecure load and circle check violations.
